Outsourcing has long been an important part of our business. For two decades, we have continued to strengthen our position as a Tier 1 provider of applications, business process and IT infrastructure outsourcing services to a wide array of industries.

Since we entered the large/mega deal commercial outsourcing industry in 1991, CSC has seen a significant shift in the market from first-generation outsourcing to second-generation outsourcing. First-generation outsourcing is historically focused on the transfer of both assets and personnel, where the drive was to improve IT efficiency. Second-generation outsourcing focuses on driving business effectiveness enabled through the delivery of IT services.

Our India Direct program is another important part of our commitment to deliver the offshore services our outsourcing clients need at competitive costs. Through India Direct, CSC sells services that can be delivered directly from CSC in India using the same delivery and engagement models that Indian IT services companies employ. By using our experienced Indian delivery centers, we offer unbundled scaleable services to our customers as unique or ongoing projects.
